I competed at the Utah State University Scholastic Media Awards and won first place for local news story and 3rd place for school news story. Follow link below to read the story at The Rambler’s website:
In addition to covering the event, I also participated. I came in 1st in my age group, but I wasn’t allowed to mention it in the article because of the paper’s rules about self-promotion. Instead, I interviewed a fellow member of the cross country team, who had come in 2nd.
